How to Send Jail Mail in Madison County

Members of the public interested in sending jail mail to inmates in Madison County must follow the rules and regulations below:

  • All mail must be sent through the U.S. Postal Service.
  • Any mail addressed to the county jail must include the inmate's full name, Madison County Jail address, and housing unit.
  • Mail must not contain any prohibited items like weapons, drugs, or any item that promotes hatred, violence, or racism.
  • Inmates are not permitted to receive cash through the mail. Approved trust accounts are available for the deposition of funds for inmates in jail.
